How to add sharing buttons to WordPress Posts
An easy way to help your readers share your content is to make sure you’ve got some sharing buttons on your posts. That way it’s a simple matter of couple of clicks for people to share your post on their social network of choice. Hurrah!
Jetpack Sharing is the easiest way to add sharing buttons in our opinion, especially since you’re probably using Jetpack already for a few different things, right? :)
Plugin required: Jetpack
Head to Settings > sharing in the sidebar. Under Sharing Buttons you’ll see all the popular services. Just drag and drop the ones you want to use into the Enabled Services area below it. If you want to add a service that isn’t available you can create a new one by clicking on the Add a new service link.
Choose your preferred button style and where you would like the buttons to appear. Personally I’m a fan of icon only, but you can also have icon + text or the official icons if you want to. You can also choose where people will see these buttons here – I usually just add them to posts as they can sometimes look a bit messy on the homepage.
If you want to be @ tagged into any tweets shared from your site you can add your Twitter handle here and it’ll be added automatically.
Once you’ve saved your changes you should see something like this on your site:
