You may have already noticed that when you leave a comment now on Instagram, there’s a little line of emoji’s so you can easily insert them into your comment. Perfect for when you want to just drop a little icon to a friend!
However, this could end up working against you. The lack of real engagement between you and the person who you’re commenting on may get picked up by Instagram as potentially being automated and that could have a real effect on yours and their visibility.
If you’re ever in doubt, just remember that authentic comments are best for everyone – they make the person whos post you’re commenting on happier, and other people seeing your comment may be more likely to follow you because you have good things to say!
