A popular way to round out the year is to post a collection of your most popular images – but which site to use? We’ve rounded up four sites that all offer the same service so you can see which one is best for you.
Top Nine
topnine.co
Top Nine was fairly quick to generate the results, but before it would show the results, it requested an email address. A separate notification that the top nine was ready was emailed over, which may be useful if your account is often updated. Top Nine also offers an app to generate the image as well as a video (apparently) but this may not be useful for a one time post.

Best Nine
2019bestnine.net
Best Nine allows the user to choose the period that the top nine image covers, which could be useful for more active accounts, allowing for quarterly or monthly round-ups. However, it was super slow to the point of unusable at the time we tested it.
We can’t say what order the image generates in.
Best Nine
bestnine.co
Best Nine (a different site to the previous entry) asks which year you would like the image to cover when you enter the username, then requests your Instagram account to be connected to make sure that you are only requesting the top nine for your own accounts. (You can revoke access after you have generated your image by visiting instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/ while logged in)

2019 Best Nine
bestnine.net
2019 Best Nine (apparently no one was very imaginative with their site names!) generated the image quickly and without requiring any login details or email addresses, but it cropped images that weren’t square

All sites provided some statistics about your year on Instagram but none of them agreed with each other.
If you use any of these sites, let us know which you prefer and why!
