If you’ve ever scrolled through your Instagram feed and thought, I wear clothes, eat avocado toast and like sunsets, why can’t someone pay me to live my best life? this book is for you . . .
Over my many years of blogging and running this website, I have read a lot of books, ebooks and articles about blogging (and even wrote a couple myself! (affiliate link)) and I can honestly say that this is one of the better books I have read on this topic.
Influencer: Building Your Personal Brand in the Age of Social Media is about how to move your social media presence onto the next level.
There are tons of blogs and books out there telling you how to increase your following, but this is the first one I’ve read that I’ve actually felt like there was useful information that I could use as a
Brittany Hennessy was the first ever Director of Influencer Strategy and Talent Partnerships at Hearst Magazines and worked with influencers, so she’s able to write about the topic of how to work with a brand and how to get what’s best for you from the other side.
There are so many useful parts to this book – I especially loved the section that gave examples of emails that you may need to send as your brand expands. It feels like something that is still quite rare that these sort of things are not shared enough – I have tried to share examples of what to say on here but I think the more people who open up about the actual things that they say to brands, etc, then the better it is for all of us!
I think this book is best for those of us who have been blogging a little while and want to move onwards but don’t really know how to make that move. I really do recommend this if you’re feeling a little stuck – you’ll be so inspired by the end of the book!
