We posted about why Patreon is a great way to connect with your readers as well as providing another form of income for you, but we thought we’d share this news if you have been umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether you want to set this up
Currently, Patreon takes 5% of the earnings that you receive from your followers, but they are changing things up and adjusting what you get for a percentage of your earnings.
If you sign up after the new pricing structure comes in, you’ll be able to choose from Patreon Lite, Pro and Premium depending on what sort of thing you want to do with your site. Current users will have lower percentages for the different tiers.
To lock in the “founders status” which includes the pricing structure, you’ll need to sign up and launch a creator page before 11.59pm PST, May 6th 2019 which is 7:59 AM May 7th in the UK.
