What’s The Best Form Of Monetisation?

Monetising your blog is the next step for many bloggers but there are so many ways to do it that it can be super confusing.

The good thing about there being so many different ways to do it is that you can pick and choose to find out what works best for you and your blog – and you have Bonjour, Blogger! to help you choose the best methods.

The first thing that will influence your decision – what platform are you using?

• WordPress.com
  Many options that we go into detail here are restricted by the WordPress.com standards. If you’d like to learn about what you can and can’t do, check out this page on WordPress.com. Consider switching to a self hosted option if you like WordPress, or switching platforms if you’re not too bothered about what you’re using
• WordPress.org (self hosted)
  You can pretty much do whatever you want (within reason!) – you pay for the space
• Blogger
  Again, you can do most things with a Blogger (blogspot) account – just make sure to check the terms and conditions when signing up to anything and if unsure, speak to the network you’re signing up to
• Other
  It’s impossible for us to list every single different platform available, so you’re best to check your specific platform’s guidelines yourself.
