You may have noticed recently that blog posts in Bloglovin‘ are showing hashtags underneath them – but there didn’t seem to be an obvious way to include these different hashtags on your post.
We’ve talked previously about why it’s useful to categorise your posts but since we noticed that Bloglovin was using the categories and the tags in WordPress as hashtags, it’s even more important to do! For Blogger users, Bloglovin‘ is using the labels on each post as hashtags.
Here’s an example of the hashtags used by Bloglovin for our recent post about free stock images to use in blog posts…
…and here’s the relevant categories and tags
It’s good that Bloglovin‘ are working on improving their search function and it should hopefully bring more views to your blog posts.
I love this recent new feature and have started using it to find things I’m interested in. Of course that leads to finding more new blogs for my reader and I have so many already! :-)
I also really like their analytics feature to see my rank in my category and rank in all but would love to know where I can see how many are in those categories in total. For example if my blog is #50 in DIY category is that 50 out of 10,000 or 50 out of 500? Do you know if there is a way to do that and I’m just missing where to find that feature? I also wish they showed more than the past 7 days of read, engagements, etc. Perhaps those will come with time too.
