So you’ve decided to take part in Blogmas, but it’s day 5 and you’re already feeling overwhelmed? Perhaps you’re not used to daily posting, or you don’t think you have enough time to be able to do every day, or you’re not sure about what to post (although we can help with the last one with the blog post and Instagram prompts we posted last week!)
Make an Editorial Calendar
Using an editorial calendar to plan out what you want to post about and when is a great idea to have a plan for when you’re feeling a bit stuck on what to write about. That way, when you have some spare time to write a post, then you won’t be struggling to find a topic, you can just get down to it. Check out this post on how to create an editorial calendar in Google Calendar, so you’ll always have it with you.
Write as Much as Possible
If you’ve got time to be able to write a few posts at once, then get as many posts as you can scheduled so you’re not stressing each day to get a post up in time. Writing a few posts at once and scheduling them gives you a little breathing space to get other posts written up – if you’re unsure on how to schedule posts, we’ve got you covered.
Don’t Worry
So you miss a day in your schedule. You know what, that’s fine. You can just get a post up whenever – while it may break your streak, it’s not the end of the world, so move on to the next day!
