When did you start your current blog? December 2008

What made you do it? After a terrible break up and returning to my parents to live, I needed a hobby and wanted to start sharing my makeup tips with the world on YouTube

What was your first blog post about? A YouTube tutorial on Benefit benetint application

What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger? Twitter to engage in conversations with fellow bloggers and brands

Do people in your real life know about your blog? Yes – I am a social media manager at an ad agency. It has indeed helped my career but unfortunately my blog hasn’t ‘taken off’ as yet!

What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) that you have been really proud of? Being approached by Channel 4 to appear on a show last year

Where do you see your blog in a year? I want to be hugely successful but stand out from the crowd – an everyday girl offering my daily tips

What do you wish you knew when starting your blog? Nothing – I just wish I had given it 100% focus in the first 12 months before beauty blogging became so popular and I slid into the background

What do you wish you know more about now? Not much – just time to do daily features

How do you keep motivated to post? It is my only focus
