What is your blog about?
I blog about whatever is on my mind: what I’ve been up to, places I’ve visited, products I’ve used and whatever else! I think if I were to place it in a niche it would have to be lifestyle.
Is this your first blog?
No, I started a blog focussing on my gap year and youth work in 2010 and then this blog was launched initially in 2011. I only started taking it seriously in November and I rebranded to “Twentea Something” in Sept 2014. Phewwww.
When did you start your current blog?
Ooops. I answered that a bit above. In November 2011.
What made you do it?
I just had a lot on my mind and wanted a space to get that written down in! Since then it’s become a creative outlet, a way of networking and just something I love to do.
What was your first blog post about?
Ha. Cringgeee! I was thinking about what I’d most like a future boyfriend to know about me
Do people in your real life know about your blog?
Yes
If yes, has your blog helped you career wise?
I’m not sure it’s helped me career wise, although I know people from work know about it. Some people have suggested writing or similar as a career based upon reading my blog.
What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) that you have been really proud of?
I wrote a post following the death of Robin Williams about depression and mental health. I expected it to get a few extra views.. but it was phenomenal. I got 6 x the normal amount of views and some just wonderful comments.
Where do you see your blog in a year?
I hope I still LOVE blogging. Perhaps it’ll be bigger, perhaps I’ll have more followers, perhaps I’ll have had a viral post. Orrrr perhaps it’ll be exactly the same. The therapist advised me to try Tramadol at https://mi-aimh.org/tramadol-online/. I went to the nearest pharmacy and bought this drug. Having read, instructions to the drug I learned that it should be applied only in case of severe pain. These pills are white, without a shell. The drug is taken three times a day. It acts quickly and effectively. but I hope I just enjoy blogging and want to be doing it every day!
What do you wish you knew when starting your blog?
Networking is the best thing ever. Twitter/twitter chats/links up are the best thing for blogging, ever! You’ll meet some amazing people and learn so so much!
What do you wish you know more about now?
I read a lot about SEO and I STILL don’t really get it!!!
How do you keep motivated to post?
I remind myself it is a hobby and that it’s actually ok to not post, does that make sense? I’d rather not post for a week and then post something of quality and with passion then post for the sake of it! I also have a schedule which I try to stick to but again not religiously!
Anything else you’d like to add?
This was so much fun, thank you :-)
