What is your blog about? My blog is about my love of makeup skincare products and bits in-between: the bits in-between are some things about me and things I’m interested in and just general bits and bobs.
Is this your first blog? It certainly is.
When did you start your current blog? I started the blog in May this year
What made you do it? For years and years, I’ve been buying different skin care and trying new products to see whats best for my skin, I’ve kind of learned what’s good and whats not so good. I have experimented with all different makeup looks over the years and been guilty of having a plastered foundation orange face, so I’ve learned from my mistakes and sharing all my tips with you, I love reading other peoples blogs as I find them interesting and learn things from others, so hopefully people will from mine.
What was your first blog post about? My first blog was about my love of YSL – not to say I love everything they have done or will do, but there are certain things they have done that I couldn’t live without.
What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger? Definitely twitter as I’ve made some lovely friends. It’s great for promoting your blog and you get some good advice and info on there from other bloggers who are more established.
Do people in your “real life” know about your blog? Only a few.
If no, why? Do you purposefully keep it a secret? I don’t purposely keep it a secret, but normally I start something and don’t finish it or get bored. With blogging, it’s something that I’ve stuck at and I actually intend to – I want to see how it goes and if in time I feel ready to shout it out I will.
What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) you’ve been really proud of?
Probably my personal post I wrote about my bullying as a child, its taken me years to talk about it and I wouldn’t openly talk about it as I was embarrassed. I’ve learnt to deal with it and realise not to be ashamed of it – its made me who I am. I know in life people will knock you down and that not everyone will like you, but that doesn’t bother me anymore. I am me and will stay who I am!
Where do you see your blog in a year? Hopefully to have grown, but it if doesn’t I don’t mind I love doing it and that’s how that is.
What do you wish you knew when starting your blog? How to use html as I’m the most thick person when it comes to computers ever.
What do you wish you know about now? How to use computers, haha!
How do you keep motivated to post? Some days I struggle with what to write but then I have a read of the magazines and go shopping and see some new products get excited and then I’m good to go again.
Anything else you’d like to add? I would just like to say thank you to the people that have helped me whilst I’ve been doing my blog. I’m sure they will know who they are – the ones I tweet bug asking how do I do this, how do I do that. I love all the interacting by bloggers generally everyone is really really lovely too – I’m kind of getting that its not a competition although I think some people see it that way. It’s not, blogging should be done for the love (although don’t get me wrong, if Chanel emailed me to say did I want their navy shoulder bag, I would easily be persuaded!)
