What is your blog about? I suppose it’s a diary of my adventures in style, with a scattering of my musings along the way!
Is this your first blog? Nope – I had one before this that had zero followers. I truthfully can’t remember what type of things I used to post about…I think a mixture of beauty and lifestyle.
When did you start your current blog? March 2011
What made you do it? There were a handful of blogs I used to read regularly and one day thought ‘why not’ and was inspired to start one myself. I haven’t looked back since! I bet everyone says that, don’t they?
What was your first blog post about? Just had to go back and look – my ‘spring must haves’ apparently!
What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger? Social media, without fail. It’s the perfect way to interact with fellow bloggers, readers, brands and PR companies.
Do people in your “real life” know about your blog? Yes, and no! Friends and family do; they are really supportive and think it’s wonderful. Especially my younger sister when she raids my wardrobe.. People at work don’t though…I think they would think it’s weird so I keep it to myself.
What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) you’ve been really proud of? I don’t think there’s one specific moment! I just feel proud to be able to look through three whole years of my wittering on (that’s one hella lot of nonsense talk you know). I can’t believe I stuck at it!
Where do you see your blog in a year? Much the same as it is now, but just with a larger audience!
What do you wish you knew when starting your blog? I wish I’d known how to use social media to my advantage. When I first started, blogging was still a reasonably new concept and everyone was just muddling their way through.
What do you wish you know about now? I’d give anything to know more about SEO, some HTML basics and what on earth the point of google+ is…
How do you keep motivated to post? I tell myself that I post when I have time and when I want to – in the past when I tried to stick to schedules it just felt like a chore.
Anything else you’d like to add? Only that I wish there were sites like Bonjour Blogger when I first started – what a valuable resource. High five, lady!
