What is your blog about? My blog is a nail blog. I love doing different nail designs and writing reviews on nail polishes I have used.
Is this your first blog? Yes it is. I started on WordPress but I have moved it over to Blogger, I find Blogger a better site to work with.
When did you start your current blog? I started it on the 23rd August 2012.
What made you do it? I love anything to do with nails and when I started searching the internet for designs to have a go at I came across nail blogs. I started reading these blogs and realised this is something I’d like to do. So I gave it a go and nearly 2 years later I’m still going and I love doing it even more than when I first started.
What was your first blog post about? I did a very simple pale blue nail with white spots over it.
What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger? Now I’m using Blogger, definitely Google. I post my blog onto Google+, I have my Google profile on my blog page and I have just added Google friend connect on to my page as well. I’d say social media in general really not just Google, social media is amazing for sharing your blog posts and driving traffic towards your blog.
Do people in your real life know about your blog? Yes they do, and not really – at the moment I am a stay at home mum to two boys one of which is autistic. I am setting up my own part time nail business though which I am in the middle of setting up.
What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) that you have been really proud of? I have been featured on the nail art design news website, been followed on google+ by burkatron and Lucy’s Stash who’s blogs I both follow and love so that was pretty amazing and I have recently been nominated by pardon my nails for the Liebster award. It’s pretty amazing to have people you look up to or admire help you out or give you recognition.
Where do you see your blog in a year? Hopefully with a few more readers, I’ve finally got round to adding google friend so that will help. But generally in the same place my designs are getting better so hopefully they will carry on getting better.
What do you wish you knew when starting your blog? Social media and tagging. I generally just put posts up without posting to social media or tagging. Now I know that is the most important thing.
What do you wish you know more about now? HTML codes and widgets. I know the basics but I’d like to know a bit more as there are things I’d like to add to my blog but I have no idea how to do.
How do you keep motivated to post? I don’t think anything really motivates me I just love to blog and share my passion.
