What is your blog about? I usually create content on fashion and lifestyle. However, I’m going back to school to study Art & Design and then hopefully onto Fashion Design. In the future, I want to incorporate this into my blog – kind of like a reflection of how my life changes.
Is this your first blog? My first ever blog was called Bessie Blogs. I was in my final year of uni and I had a lot of things I wanted to get off my chest. A blog seemed like the most productive way to do that.
When did you start your current blog? June 2014
What made you do it? I wasn’t happy with my first blog so I started Une Femme, Une Fille as a fresh start and I just let it evolve from there.
What was your first blog post about? Just a basic welcome post.
What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger? The social network. I get most of my views from people finding my blog through Facebook and Twitter. It’s important not to neglect your social channels.
Do people in your real life know about your blog? If yes, has your blog helped you career wise? I currently work in retail and while I don’t associate my blog with my current career, I’m hoping it will be a platform for me when entering the world of fashion illustration and design.
What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) that you have been really proud of? Meeting friends and keeping them. I think there are a lot of myth-like ideas over the fact that your online friends stay online. I have four really good friends that I’ve met through blogging; we stay in touch, help each other out with blogging problems and meet up all the time! It’s nice to have a group of friends who understand that particular side of you.
Where do you see your blog in a year? I’m not too sure. I have a lot ideas for my blog that I’m wanting to put into action but that could take some time. I’d love to keep growing my readership and I’d love to keep learning. I guess time will tell!
What do you wish you knew when starting your blog? That the blogging community is amazing. I’d been blogging for about six months before I even spoke or met with another blogger. For a long time, I felt like it was just me behind the computer screen but it is so much more!
What do you wish you know more about now? HTML and coding!
How do you keep motivated to post? I try to find other sites outside of the mainstream, popular blogs that make me want to better myself and my content. I always find trying new hobbies to be a great way to realise potential in new content too.
