Sometimes, you’ll want to put a symbol into a blog post, but not know how. Well, here’s a little cheat sheet for you – these symbols will work in most browsers, and will mean you don’t need to use images (making your blog quicker to load for people on mobile devices, etc), scale well (again, for mobile devices or for people who need to adjust the size of a webpage to read it) as well as being a handy way to indicate when a item has been gifted to you or if you are using an affiliate link (because it’s good to disclose those things!)

(* A non breaking space can be useful when you need to put in some space. On WordPress, at least, if you need to put in a few line breaks, if you don’t use the non breaking space, it assumes you made a mistake and will remove those line breaks for you! Thankfully, when working in the visual view, it will put this HTML code in for you.)
