When did you start your current blog? March 2013
What made you do it? After reading lots of fantastic plus size blogs online I decided to start my own. I wanted to push my own boundaries and show women of all shapes and sizes that you can look and feel amazing no matter what size you are.
What was your first blog post about? A bit about me and then a peplum top!
What do you think is the most useful tool to you as a blogger? It has to be Twitter, it is a great way to connect with other bloggers and also your readers.
Do people in your “real life” know about your blog? Some do yes
If no, why? Do you purposefully keep it a secret? No I don’t I am quite happy to tell people I blog not all of them understand why but on the whole the feedback has been really positive.
What has been the one thing (blog post, project, etc) you’ve been really proud of? I think when I took part in a challenge called Flash the Flesh. A group of decided to challenge what people think plus size women should wear and this finally ended in me wearing a bikini on the blog!
Where do you see your blog in a year? Hopefully still going and with an increased readership.
What do you wish you knew when starting your blog? That it takes a lot of hard work and dedication, which when you are juggling motherhood and working can be tricky at times, but you make it work!
What do you wish you know about now? What makes a good blog that people want to read- is it the content, the photographs or the personality of the blogger?
How do you keep motivated to post? As a reader of blogs I like to see regular content so I try and keep this in mind even when I am tired!
Anything else you’d like to add? I just want to say that I never knew how much I would enjoy blogging, even if just one person reads what you have to say then you have made a difference. I have met some amazing people who I now consider as friends and the absolute highlight has to have been when I got the chance to meet Gok Wan- I never in a million years thought something like that would happen!! A big thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my rambling thoughts as without you I would be talking to myself!
